I’m in tears. Trying to make a get well chocolate covered strawberry bouquet for a friend, yes, first time. But I have dried my strawberries well. I melted my chocolate melts as directed and in a coffee mug. I began dipping my strawberries and only got to 6 when the chocolate began hardening and not being dippable. I have 20 more strawberries to dip. 😞I don’t understand why it’s doing this. There is no water or moisture on my berries or in the cup. I also made a separate cup of chocolate and tried adding a liquid food coloring but it immediately hardened up. I thought it would be alright to mix that in my chocolate but now I cannot use that either. I’m quite frustrated. Can you help with advice? Thank you!

I would like to suggest to the author that he try placing his chocolate pots on a heating pad to maintain the chocolate at the most workable temperature. Most heating pads are enclosed in vinyl under their coverings. This vinyl surface cleans up easily after each use with warm dish cloth. My heating pad has 3 temperature settings and auto shuts off if left on for extended periods. Since the heating pad never gets hot enough to burn human skin it provides an almost ideal temperature for keeping chocolate at peak dipping and piping consistency and it never leaves the kitchen.

Hi, i was issue during the drying process. I used calle baut 3 star fluidity chocolate chips as well. I tried to dry them in room temperature but it didn't work and ended up fridge them😓

After using a skewer to dip the berries , I put them in the fridge and next day the strawberry juice comes out from stem to the skewer. Is it because of putting the dipped berries right into the fridge or I have to get a new fridge 😂?
